Listen and choose the best answer (A–C) for each question.
Short extracts from conversations between interacting speakers, with questions on each. At C1 the questions are less about what was said and more about the relationship between the speakers — who is conceding, who is deflecting, where the disagreement actually lies.
Read both questions on an extract before it plays. They usually split the work between them: one asks about content, the other about attitude or the speakers' relationship. Knowing which is which before the audio starts stops you listening for the wrong thing.
The extracts are dialogues rather than single speakers, and the questions target implication and attitude rather than stated fact. The words are rarely the difficulty; the inference is.
Yes, every part plays twice — in the exam and in every listening exercise here. At C1 the second play is where the attitude questions are usually settled, so leave them provisional rather than forcing an answer first time.
