Most cookie policies are long because the site has a lot to confess. Ours is short: we use one cookie to keep you signed in, we save your unfinished work on your own device, and we do not track you anywhere.
We do not track you. There are no advertising cookies, no social media pixels, no analytics profiles and nothing shared with data brokers.
What we do store is the minimum needed to make the site work: a cookie that keeps you signed in, and some saved work in your browser so you do not lose an exercise if the page reloads. Because all of it is strictly necessary to provide what you asked for, the law does not require us to ask your permission first — which is why you have not been shown a consent banner.
Alongside the cookie, we use your browser’s local storage — a place where a site can keep data on your own device. This never leaves your computer and is not sent to us or to anyone else. We use it to save:
You can clear all of it at any time through your browser’s “clear site data” setting. Doing so only loses unfinished work saved on that device — your account and your completed attempts are stored on our servers and are not affected.
We embed no advertising networks, no social media widgets and no third-party video players, so no other company sets cookies through our pages as you browse.
One exception applies when you pay. Checkout happens on Stripe’s own pages — Stripe acts as the merchant of record for your purchase — and Stripe sets its own cookies there for fraud prevention and to process the payment securely. That is covered by Stripe’s privacy policy. These cookies are necessary to take a payment at all.
Every browser lets you view, block and delete cookies and local storage, usually under Settings → Privacy. You can block ours if you wish.
Be aware of the trade-off: because our storage is strictly necessary rather than optional, blocking it will stop you from signing in and from saving your work. There is no version of the service that works while blocked, and that is a technical fact rather than a choice we made.
If we later add analytics or anything else that is not strictly necessary, we will not switch it on quietly. We would ask for your consent first, through a banner where refusing is as easy as accepting, and nothing would be set until you agreed. This page would be updated on the same day.
