Listen to five speakers and match each one to the right statement.
Five speakers on a related theme, matched against a list of statements with more options than speakers. The skill is holding a whole speaker's position in mind rather than reacting to the individual words as they arrive.
Every speaker will touch on several of the options — that is exactly how the distractors are made. Wait for the speaker's overall point before committing, and if two options seem right, one of them is usually something they mentioned rather than something they meant. On the second play, check the speakers you were unsure of rather than re-listening from the start.
So that elimination alone will not get you through. With five speakers and more statements than that, the unused options exist to catch answers chosen by process of elimination rather than by what a speaker actually said.
Mark a provisional answer as you go and confirm it on the second play. Waiting for certainty on the first play usually means missing the next speaker, and the recording does not pause between them.
